United Airlines Premier Status Update. United Airlines is making it easier to qualify for Premier status through 2022.
They are lowering the standard requirements for all Premier levels so it’s easier to qualify through 2022.
United Airlines Premier Status 1K Update
You will only need 36 Premier qualifying flights (PQF) and 13,500 Premier qualifying points (PQP) or just 15,000 PQP to maintain Premier 1K status.
In January they will automatically give you at least 3,750 PQP, which gets you 25% of the way toward the PQP-only requirement for 1K status. You can earn even more PQP with the most rewarding Premier qualification offer ever.
You will earn double the PQP for each of the first three trips you take with United from January 1 through March 31, 2021.
On top of that, they have some other exciting updates to share:
United Airlines is also changing the way some of its credit cards earn PQP and qualify for Premier status. Now you can apply PQP earned from your eligible United MileagePlus® credit card toward Premier 1K® status
They are extending PlusPoints set to expire on or after January 1, 2021, by another six months.
United Airlines Premier Status 1K members will earn 20 additional PlusPoints for every 2,000 PQP earned beyond 15,000 PQP.
If you are trying to achieve or maintain your Silver, Gold or Platinum Status for 2022 check out the United Airlines website to see what the requirements are.
With United, every flight gets you closer to status, so you don’t have to fly as much — or as far — to earn a view from the top. I will post any additional promotions that United Airlines announces to help you reach your status goals.
