My Step-by-Step Instagram Guide for Navigating New York City

 In all of the chaos and craziness that goes on in the Big Apple, it can be easy to miss some of the city’s most picturesque locations. Keep your eyes peeled for these amazing spots in New York City to truly up your Instagram game!

1) Brooklyn Bridge & Dumbo Brooklyn, New York City

This is one of my favorite spots when visiting New York City. The historic neighborhoods, incredible views, and the cobblestone streets make this spot a must see. Here you will find yourself overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge, New York Skyline and the Manhattan Bridge. My favorite spot in New York City is Washington Street where you see the Manhattan Bridge and the Empire State Building in the far distance. Get there early to catch amazing photo at the following locations:

  1. Washington Street
  2. Take a walk on the Brooklyn Bridge
  3. Capture the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge from the Dumbo Waterfront.
  4. Feel like a kid again on the carousel

2) Times Square

The infamous, famous Time Square is ranked as one of most Instagrammed locations in 2017. Definitely get a picture behind the giant billboards and New Year’s Eve Ball Drop.

3) Central Park

There are so many places to get great Instagram photos in Central Park in New York City, especially in the winter or spring! Here are a few suggestions:

  1. The Boathouse
  2. The Bow Bridge
  3. Bethesda Terrace Arcade
  4. Bethesda Fountain
  5. The Lake
  6. Belvedere Castle
  7. The Mall
  8. Southwest Reservoir Bridge
  9. The Carousel
  10. Wollman Rink

4) Top of the Rock

Breathtaking panoramic views in all directions of New York City from the Top of the Rock Observation Deck. The view of the Empire State Building is truly amazing and you won’t want to miss this photo op!

5) Rockefeller Center, New York City

One of my favorite places to celebrate the holiday season with the famous New York City Rockettes (photo ops available at Radio City Music Hall), ice skating at the Rink, and the world famous holiday tree in New York City.

6) Flatiron Building

This triangular 22 story steel-framed landmark building is located at Fifth and Broadway. Go early to avoid people in your photo.

7) Soho

I love taking photos in Soho with the adorable cobblestone streets, lofty buildings, and unique boutiques; you will get a great photo on any street. One of my favorite breakfast places is at Nomo Hotel which is located on Crosby Street. You may even have to wait in line to take your photo at the Entrance Way. It’s Instagrammable!

8) Highline Park

The Highline is a 1.45 mile long elevated linear park, green way, and rail trail. My favorite spot on the Highline is 17th Street in the “10th Avenue Box. What a fun place to take a photo!

9) Stuyvesant Street & E. 10th Street

This is one of the oldest streets in New York City and will reward you with a charming picture of the quaint neighborhood.

10) Little Italy

Little Italy’s iconic streets are lined with the best pasta and pizza dishes, serving Italian staples on every corner.

11) Washington Square, New York City

In the heart of Greenwich Village, Washington Square Park is one of New York’s most recognizable parks. Get your photo under or alongside the famous Washington Arch.

12) Taiyaki, New York City

Taiyaki is “home of the legendary fish-shaped ice cream cones” according to Priya Krishna, ZAGAT. Prepare to wait in long lines to get your matcha flavored fish ice cream cone–but definitely worth it!

13) Yankee Stadium

Don’t forget to snap a pic of this legendary stadium in New York City while singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game”!
