Lets Explore my nine best Instagram Spots in Barcelona, Spain. If you ever find yourself in the historically rich and aesthetically beautiful city that is Barcelona, don’t miss the chance to snap a shot at these amazing sites!
1) Basilica de La Sagrada Familia
This is not your everyday cathedral. Gaudi spent more than 40 years designing this breathtaking temple and construction still continues today. For the best outside shots looking directly at the Basilica de La Sagrada Familia, venture to the far right of the park. You can also snap a great photo opposite the temple at the far end of the park. If you try to stand in front of the Basilica, your photo may be cluttered with other tourists and will not be able to capture the full structure. Another good spot is head to the Hotel Ayre Rossello. We purchased two sodas and simply basked in the amazing view. This is by far my favorite view, and I hope it will be one of yours too!. The address is Carrer de Mallorca, 401, 08013, Barcelona, Spain.
2) Park Guell
Park Guell is largely considered Gaudi’s dreamland creation and is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Seated on top of a hill, the monumental plaza and its colorful serpentine bench made with interwoven fragments of multicolored ceramic allows for incredible views of the city. The park is also home to Gaudi’s famous mosaic dragon. If you arrive before 8:00 am, you can get in for free and you will not have people in your photo. I arrived at 7:20 am to get the early morning sun as an added bonus. The address is Olot 7, 08024 Barcelona Spain.
3) Parc de la Ciutadella
This is a beautiful park with a large fountain designed by Josep Fontsere and his student Antoni Gaudi. The fountain is commonly known as the Cascada. The rich greenery of the park when paired with the serene flow of fountain water makes for an earthy, natural scene; one which contrasts harmoniously with the rigid and stoic architecture of the fountain.
4) Barcelona Cathedral
This is a magnificent Gothic church located in front of Placa de la Seu. I highly recommend you go early in the morning to avoid crowds!
5) El Born
El Born is a famous neighbor in Barcelona which is located between the Gothic Quarter and Parc de la Ciutadella. Simply explore the picturesque alleys and you will definitely get an amazing Instagram shot!
6) W Hotel Barcelona
The W hotel is a striking sail-like structure located next to the Barcelona Beach. Its unique architectural style allows the building itself to be the subject matter of your photo, with additional spots interspersed throughout the hotel itself. Check it out! http://marriott.com
7) Happy Pills
Happy Pills is an adorable candy shop with sweet remedies for everyday pains. You can customize your own concoction by first choosing a bottle, then picking your candy flavor and a label to truly make it unique to you. Don’t forget to strike a pose in the pink colorful store with your creation!
8) Casa Mila
Popularly known as La Pedrera or the The Stone Quarry, Casa Mila is yet another building designed by the famous architect Antoni Gaudi. Head to the rooftop to capture this world renown architecture for amazing pictures!
9) Bunkers del Carmel
This is one of the best photo spots for Instagram in Barcelona. Bunkers del Carmel is a park that is only a short metro journey out of the center of Barcelona. Once you reach the metro station (El Carmel or Alfons X, depending on where you’re coming from), you can either bus to the top of the hill or walk it. You will have a 360 view over Barcelona, so take advantage of those panoramic opportunities!
