Marriott Bonvoy Bold Introduced With No Annual Fee

Written by Ashley Ferraro

Chase has introduced a new credit card into its Marriott Bonvoy series. The Marriott Bonvoy Bold Credit Card boasts no annual fee, making it an attractive choice for beginner travelers. Without that pesky yearly charge, this Visa card presents itself as a risk free option. For the traveler who isn’t sure how often they’ll really be using the card and taking advantage of rewards, the Bold might be the perfect choice. However, there are some cons as well. Several popular benefits and a higher earning potential must be given up when customers select this card. If you’re still not sure which Marriott Bonvoy Credit Card is right for you, the Marriott Bonvoy Bold may be worth looking into.

Is The Marriott Bonvoy Bold Right For You?

The Marriott Bonvoy Bold was created to accommodate the traveler who is just starting out. Without an annual fee, you won’t feel pressured to use it. You can comfortably use the card, reaping the occasional benefits without feeling tied down.

Plus, a Marriott Bonvoy Bold cardholder will get the perks of Marriott Silver Elite status when staying at Bonvoy hotels. The status is attained automatically, meaning you won’t have to worry about acquiring those points in other ways.

What Are The Benefits Of The Marriott Bonvoy Bold?

Although it doesn’t compare to the benefits of other Marriott Bonvoy cards, the Bold knows how important points are to you. Within three months of opening the account, you’ll be required to spend $2,000 in order to receive 50,000 bonus points. 50,000 points can get you to plenty of hot vacation destinations around the world. So, as long as you’re consistently spending in the beginning, you’ll be granted all of those bonus points.

Beyond the bonus, you’ll enjoy:

  • 3 points per $1 spent at participating hotels
  • 2 points per $1 spent on other travel purchases (like airfare, taxis, trains, etc.)
  • 15 Elite Night Credits annually (qualifying you for Silver Elite Status)

Like other Bonvoy cards, users will appreciate no foreign transaction fees as well as travel and purchase coverage. It’s also worth mentioning that Chase adheres to the 5/24 rule. That is, you won’t be eligible for the card if you’ve opened five or more cards in the past 2 years. It’s true that you have nothing to lose when applying for the Marriott Bonvoy Bold in terms of an annual fee, but you will lose one of those slots with Chase.

Definitely believe that which you stated. Your favorite justification seemed to
be on the web the simplest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I definitely get irked while people think
about worries that they just don’t know about. You managed to hit
the nail upon the top as well as defined out the whole
thing without having side-effects , people can take a signal.
Will likely be back to get more. Thanks

After I initially left a comment I appear to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and
now whenever a comment is added I get four emails with the exact same comment.
Perhaps there is an easy method you are able to remove me
    from that service? Cheers!
