Marriotts Bonvoy’s Silver Elite and Gold Elite status levels are second and third in their six status options, through which members can earn and redeem points at over 6,700 hotels and resorts in over 130 countries. To earn Silver Elite status, travelers must stay 10 or more nights at Marriott Bonvoy’s eligible hotels. After becoming a Silver Elite member, travelers will earn 10 percent more points that regular members on every eligible hotel purchase, which include room rates and other incidentals.
Silver Elite members have access to exclusive features, such as a dedicated personal service help line for booking hotel reservations . The line is available for fast, personal service 24/7. Silver Elite members also have access to priority late check-out, which is based on availability, free in-room Wi-Fi, and exclusive member rates.
To earn Gold Elite status, travelers must stay 25 eligible nights over the course of one year, including redemption nights. Gold Elite members will earn 25 percent more points than regular members on event eligible hotel purchase, including room rate and other incidentals.
Marriott Bonvoy offers Gold Elite members access to enhanced room upgrades, which are subject to availability at check-in, alongside a welcome gift at check-in. Welcome gifts are either 250 or 500 bonus points, amounts will vary by brand.
When it comes to check-out. Gold Elite members will have access to late check-out at 2 p.m.
COMMON REWARDS BETWEEN THE TWO LEVELS
Both Silver Elite and Gold Elite members have access to a mobile check-in or keyless experience through the Marriott Bonvoy app. If, for some reason, Marriott Bonvoy cannot honor reservations, travelers will receive compensation and Marriott Bonvoy will pay for them to stay nearby. Both Silver Elite and Gold Elite also have the option to combine cash and points to pay for reservations, and the option to redeem points for Free Night Awards.
