Traveling right now can be very tricky, and most of us are only doing it if it’s necessary. Airline passengers have a right to be concerned about their safety aboard the aircraft. CEO of Frontier Airlines, Barry Biffle has reached out to customers in order to ease possible concerns.
Frontier announces that their current goal is “to be the leader in the airline industry when it comes to taking measures to assure you that our aircraft are being cleaned and sanitized to the highest level”. Below are some of the new strategies the airline will be implementing in efforts to keep passengers and crew healthy while flying.
New Aircraft Fogging Disinfectant
“Recently, we implemented a new fogging disinfectant on board our aircraft that administers a safe, certified disinfecting solution proven to be effective against many viruses and diseases, including coronavirus. We are fogging virtually every surface in the passenger cabin and the treatment is effective in killing viruses for up to 10 days. We continue to wipe the planes down every night with an added disinfectant, as well. These highly effective measures are ensuring our aircraft are ultra-sanitized.”

New Health Acknowledgement At Check-In
“Earlier this week, we also implemented a new program that requires our passengers to accept a health acknowledgement prior to checking in. Whether you check in via our website or mobile app, you will be asked to certify that:
• Neither you nor anyone in your household has exhibited COVID19-related symptoms in the last 14 days
• You will check your temperature before heading to the airport and not travel if you have a fever
• You will wash your hands/sanitize before boarding the flight
Of course, our flight crews are all operating under the same parameters.”
Passenger Distancing On Frontier Aircraft
“To support social distancing for those of you who need to travel in the coming weeks, we have undertaken measures to separate passengers by blocking every other row on our aircraft on flights departing through the first week of May.”
Keeping Travel Affordable
“Once you are ready to travel again, we want you to do so with full confidence. And while we encourage everyone to stay home, for those of you who do need to travel in the near future, we are offering Discount Den club fares for only a penny plus taxes and fees which amounts to $11 in total. The offer is valid for one-way flights for all days, all domestic, non-stop routes through May 7. Additionally, no fares are priced higher than $99 one-way all in through May 7.
Also, we are currently offering travel flexibility so that you may book with confidence. For tickets booked now until April 15, 2020, you can make a one-time change to your reservation without a change fee.”
