Popular hotel chains like Hilton and Marriott are already looking at ways to help members earn bonus points in 2021. Hilton has introduced “Points Unlimited” while Marriott is launching “More Points Ahead”, each with unique bonuses and terms. We’ll take a closer look at these hotel promotions and how they can help you rack up some valuable bonus points come the new year.
Hilton Honors
Hilton Honors has many ways for members to accumulate bonus points. Whether it’s through promotions like this one or cobranded credit cards, there are always fun ways to grow your account. Hilton Honors is always free to join.
Points Unlimited
The “Points Unlimited” program runs from January 1 through May 2, 2021. It gives Hilton Honors members the ability to earn 2,000 bonus points for each stay and an extra 5,000 bonus points every five nights. Even better, there’s no maximum amount of points you can earn with this hotel promotion.
Even if you have just one Hilton stay coming up, “Points Unlimited” will add significant value to your Hilton Honors membership. Now, with multiple stays, you can watch as your bonus points see a massive jump.
Other Ways To Earn In 2021
Hilton Honors has multiple co-branded credit cards that offer welcome bonuses and spending benefits. One of the most popular cards is the Hilton Honors American Express card which offers 80,000 points after you spend $1,000 within the first three months of account opening. For business owners, the best option is the Hilton Honors American Express Business Card, offering 130,000 points after you spend $3,000 in the first three months.
Hilton Honors has two other cobranded credit cards as well. The Hilton Honors American Express Surpass Card gets you 130,000 points after spending $2,000 within the first three months of opening the card. Finally, the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card offers a whopping 150,000 points after you spend $4,000 within the first three months.
Marriott Bonvoy
Through their targeted “More Points Ahead” promotion in addition to ongoing promotions through cobranded credit cards, Marriott Bonvoy is always sharing ways for its members to get ahead on bonus points.
More Points Ahead
“More Points Ahead” is a targeted promotion lasting now through March 31, 2021. Although the hotel promotion varies across Marriott Bonvoy members, the most popular version gives you 9,000 bonus points after 3 stays, and 27,000 bonus points after 9 stays.
Other versions of “More Points Ahead” have been identified as well. For example, some members are able to earn 4,000 bonus points after their first stay including a weekend night, 6,000 bonus points after their second stay, and 8,000 bonus points after their third stay. This could land you up to 18,000 bonus points.
In order to determine if you’ve been targeted and which offer you have been selected for, visit your account’s “promotions” tab, where you should be able to locate all the details. This also means it’s a great time to sign up for Marriott Bonvoy if you haven’t already! Registering for the program is always free, and earning perks are worth it in the long run.
