1) Isola Bella

Isola Bella is a tiny island at the base of Taormina.  With its pebble stoned beach and beautiful blue waters it is known as “The Pearl of the Ionian Sea” .  We hired a boat which took us around the island and to the blue and green grotto.

On the outskirts of Taormina approximately a 30 minute ride is the Alcantara Gorge.  Here you will find a steep canyon of black lava rock walls surrounding the crystal clear water which offers you a perfect place for Instagrammable Spots photos.  Beware the water is cold.

7) Duomo

St. Nicolas Cathedral also known as the Duomo di Taormina which is located at the end of the Corso Umberto (or beginning depending where you start). The building looks more like a fortress than a religious institution with its medieval facade and baroque door.

Restaurants with amazing views – There are several restaurants with amazing views for Instagram Spots.  We selected the Timeo at the Belmond Grand Hotel. You can go during sunset and have a cocktail and enjoy the stunning view from the terrace.  The price per drink is approximately about 25 Euro.
