Back in December, Delta announced that members could upgrade seat assignments with miles on their website. Now, Pointsters can upgrade with miles on the Fly Delta app instead.
Travelers thought Delta’s online seat upgrading was easy back in December, but now the iOS and Android app will make the experience even easier.
To upgrade seating assignments on a flight that has already been booked, travelers will need to log into the latest version of the Fly Delta app. After finding their flight reservation in the “My Trips” tab, a banner will show the price to upgrade seating assignment if an upgrade with miles is available for the flight. Travelers are able to select a button next to the price in miles, then select a seat from the seat map before confirming their upgrade.
As always, if you can’t update your reservations through the app or through delta.com, Delta Reservations are always willing to help . Here’s how:
1. Contact a SkyMiles Representative
2. Share your trip information with the representative, and request a book a Mileage Upgrade Award
3. The representative will provide prices and availability
4. If your reservations is eligible and you have enough miles in your account, the representative can confirm your upgrade.
