Eight of my most Instagram-Worthy Places in Palm Spring, CA. If you ever find yourself in Palm Springs, CA, capture every picture perfect moment at these Insta-prime spots!
1) The Pink Door
The house which is home to this bubbly pink door is a private property so please be respectful of the owners when taking a picture (ie. there are signs outside reading “no photography” and “no trespassing” on the front lawn, but I got my shot from the street and did not approach the front door). Don’t forget to hashtag #thatpinkdoor on your post! The address is 1100 Sierra Way, Palm Springs.
2) The Windmills
These windmills are amazing and such a great place to get a truly unique photo. The site is home to over 4000 large windmills dispersed around the valley, with the background cascaded with mountains. To get up close to the Windmills, drive north on N. Indian Canyon Drive. Before you get to 1-10, make a left onto Garnet Avenue and proceed to the windmills which are about 1 mile down the road. I pulled over and walked right up to the windmills, no problem. Make sure you’re not taking your photo directly into the sun; rather, use the blue sky pressed against the white graceful windmills as nature’s perfect backdrop!
3) Palm Canyons Drive
Palm Canyons Drive is such a great place to get a photo. With all its shops, art galleries and restaurants lined with tall palm trees and mountains in the background, this spot is the very heart of Palm Springs! I stood in the middle of the road when no cars were coming facing the mountains to get an incredible shot.
4) The Saguaro Hotel
The Saguaro Hotel in Palm Springs is known for its bright colors and its view of the gorgeous mountain that surrounds it. As one of the most photographed hotels in Palm Springs, it is proven to provide great spots by the pool, inside the lobby, and all around its colorful exterior. The address is 1800 E. Palm Canyon Drive, Palm Springs, Ca.
5) Cabazon Roadside Dinosaurs
The Cabazon Dinosaurs have been regarded as one of the most iconic roadside attractions. This site features two enormous dinosaurs named Danny the Dinosaur and Mr. Rex, both visible from the freeway interstate 10. Located about 20 minutes from Palm Springs, the Cabazon Dinosaurs will not disappoint for your next Instagram pic! The address is 507700b Seminole Drive Cabazon, Ca. 92230.
6) The Parker Hotel
My favorite spot at the Parker Hotel is its entrance. The graphic wall with the elegant orange door designed by Jonathan Adler makes it a must for Instagram! The lobby of the hotel is rich in colors and elegance as well. When you explore the property, there are so many hidden little gardens, fire pits and fountains for other get photo spots. The address is 4200 E. Palm Canyon Drive Palm Springs, Ca.
7) JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa
The JW Marriott has a water taxi in the lobby that makes your picture taking experience leisurely and fun! The hotel offers a boat ride around the property or to one of its many restaurants. My favorite spot for photos is near the pools on the west side by a bridge overlooking the lake, the mountains and the golf course. Another great spot is near the entrance where they have flamingos on what is known as Flamingo Island. The address is 74-855 Country Club Drive, Palm Desert, Ca 92260.
8) Coachella Music Festival
This is a great time to come to Palm Springs to be part of one of the biggest musical festivals. There are so many opportunities to take photos: in front of the ferris wheel, at one of the parties or at a pop-up store.
9)Palm Springs Welcome Sign
The Palm Spring Welcome sign is just steps away from the Palm Springs Visitor Center. With the striking mountains in the background and a blue sky this is truly an instagram worthy spot.
